Philip Ringrose is Professor of Energy Transition Geoscience at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He has published extensively on CO₂ storage technology, reservoir geoscience, geophysical monitoring and flow in rock media, and is the author of How to Store CO₂ Underground (2020).

He previously worked at Equinor across a range of CCS projects and hydrocarbon field developments. He is also Honorary Professor at the University of Edinburgh and Adjunct Professor at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia.

Philip is a member of The Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters (DKNVS) and the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences (NTVA).
